Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) is the only major international exhibition and conference in the world focused on how technology is employed to produce more food, sustainably, whilst using less resources. Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) is a focal point for the expanding global movement to change the way we feed the world’s rapidly-growing population. The event also brings together those involved in the fight to rid the world of poverty and malnutrition through the advancement of agriculture in developing countries.
Hosted by the City of Abu Dhabi and in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture was launched in February 2014 to present the world’s largest collection of sustainable agriculture solutions.
Two years in the planning, and with the support of over 20 Foundation Partners, the inaugural Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) hosted over 3,200 of the world’s brightest minds to show the world how game-changing technologies can feed the world.

The roadmap to 2015
Since the success of the launch, Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) has received major attention for its commitment to change the way food is produced. In 2015, the inclusion of a number of parallel events run in association with globally significant partners will mark the point at which GFIA becomes the most influential event in the world for all those wishing to contribute to the sustainable agriculture movement.

GFIA is committed to fostering the cross-fertilisation of ideas. By providing a platform that is independent and inclusive, GFIA offers all stakeholders from the agricultural sector an opportunity to collaborate with people and organisations with compatible goals.
INNOVATION PRESENTATIONS & ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS
GFIA 2014 featured over 100 presentations across four Innovation Theatres. Delegates agreed the choice of content was extraordinary; many innovations were ground-breaking and the quality of presentations was of an exceptional standard. GFIA 2015 will build upon this success and ensure the Innovation Presentations and Roundtable Discussions will host the thought leaders that are shaping the future.
