Without Offering Business Solutions, Parrot Anafi vs DJI Mavic Air

Parrot will always offer business solutions, covering agricultural drone business solution such as 3D Mapping, surveying and inspection. But for Parrot Anafi drone, it seems like an opportunity missed. Forget it! we're gonna be comparing the Parrot Anafi to what seems to be its closest competitor the DJI Mavic Air.

First we're gonna talk about the three features that really stand out.

Number one is the sheer resolution of the camera you got 21 MP compared to the 12 MP in the DJI Mavic Air. Now, obviously that means a lot higher resolutions for photos, but for video you actually enabled a possibility for digital zooms while maintaining full HD resolution.

Number two, the Parrot Anafi actually has the ability to tilt the camera 180 degrees which means you can tilt the camera straight up and capture footage above your aircraft. Now, it's currently no other drone on the market at that price point that will do that number three battery life. The DJI Mavic air offers about 16 minutes of battery life while the Parrot Anafi actually offers about 25 minutes. Now, that's over 50% more flight time.

Next, we're gonna talk about the three advantages that the DJI Mavic Air has over the Parrot Anafi.

Number one anti-collision sensors, the DJI Mavic air has sensors facing forward backward and downward while the Parrot Anafi only has sensors facing down. So you're gonna have to be a little bit more cautious with your surroundings.

Number two, frame rates the DJI Mavic air will shoot 120 frames per second (FPS) at full HD but the Parrot Anafi maxes out at 60 FPS which is still good but it would have been nice to have a little bit more.

Number three, might be an issue it might not. But it has to do with stabilization. Both drones advertise 3-axis stabilization, but for the Parrot Anafi the pan or the yaw axis is actually electronic. Now, that might be fine. It might be the best stabilization ever, but a lot of times with the electronic stabilization especially with wide-angle lenses like you have on the Parrot Anafi, you tend to get this jello effect which is kind of distracting.

Aside from all of that for all intensive purposes they're pretty much the same for size and weight. All you need to know is that they're extremely portable they can pretty much fit in your pocket. Both have the same GPS technologies and identical operating ranges. Although the Parrot Anafi has a couple extra antennas which could mean a little bit more reliable signal, could also mean absolutely nothing. Both can zip around pretty quickly although the DJI Mavic Air has a slight edge in sport mode. Both have similar prices at $699.99 for Parrot Anafi and $798.56 for DJI Mavic Air. The Parrot Anafi being the more affordable of the tube. So that's a preview of the Parrot Anafi from Parrot.
